Church warden pipe kiln
A good late 18th century or early 19th century blacksmiths forged pipe kiln. Often used in pubs and meeting rooms, long clay pipes were loaded into the iron framework and then baked in the embers of the fire to remove tar and impurities clogging the stems. A rare item of social history.
