Landscape by Folke Jupiter
Folke Jupiter, 1913-1979, initially trained as a Goldsmith and engraver at Stockholm technical college before becoming a full-time painter in 1943. He travelled extensively in France, Italy and Spain. He painted primarily landscapes in oils. This is a fine example of the Sicilian town of Taormina, depicting the tumbling roofscapes under a Mediterranean sun with bleached out pastel hues of greens, blue and ochre. Sweden 1948.
