A stamped sheet copper firemark for the British Fire Office Company, 1799-1843, based in London. Well patinated with fragments of gold and red paint, slightly wrinkled through time with a small tear by one nail hole. Formerly from the collection of the Insurance Institute, London. Early 19th century.
