Large cast iron lion
A good original mid 19th century cast iron lion doorstop or path decoration of recumbent form with outstretched paw. This is a period casting with manufacturers name John Crowley and Co, Sheffield, 1847 cast to the back. In excellent undamaged condition with an old gold paint finish. 73 cm long, 36 cm high.
