Knife sharpener
An early 19th century knife sharpener in cast brass. The steel sharpening rings are held on brass supports in the shape of a bearded bacchus or green man. It is set on a shaped plinth with a makers stamp for Greaves and Newton who operated in Sheffield in the 1830s. Plinth 12.5 cm x 10 cm, 10cm high.
