Chain knitting sheath
A fabulous beech or sycamore chip carved and whittled knitting sheath with interlinked spiked chains, a small trapped ball lantern with swivel link leading to a carved and patterned needle holder end with remnants of old red sealing wax. There is a small chip to the first of the chain links. British, late 18th or early 19th century. 35cm long.
