Inuit walrus sculpture
A delightful stone carved Inuit walrus of unusually abstracted form with restrained surface detailing around the eyes and mouth and fat ripples to the back of the neck. Small drill holes either side of the mouth indicate where bone tusks would have been inserted. Canadian, 1950s-60s. Serial number to the base, see photo. 17 cm long.
