Thomas Hope named knitting sheath

An exceptional beech or sycamore carved knitting sheath with a clue hook end on swivel (hook now broken) attached to a lantern with two trapped balls linked by four chains to another swivel joint then a double ring to the needle holder which is carved with floral motifs and the name Thomas Hope and initials IC. British carved late 18th early 19th century.
