Pestle and mortar
A fabulous small fruit wood snuff mortar with original pestle of considerable age, probably dating to the late 17th or early 18th century, with a fine soft silky patination. There is a small chip to the rim, please see photographs. English, 1680 to 1720. 11 cm high.
